Start your day off right with an early morning hike of the Mare Island Shoreline Heritage Preserve!

We've heard from a number of you that Tuesday evenings can be difficult but that you would like to join if your schedule allowed. We're trying out an early morning hike to see if that might be of interest to our early-risers! We'll walk up to the beautiful views at the top of the preserve next to the Spirit Ship. If you've never doen the hike, it's a Vallejo staple!

Join Rooted Vallejo as we return to where we first started: the Vine Trail section adjacent to Highway 37 and opposite the White Slough. It's a gorgeous section of trail overlooking the slough habitat and they've recently installed new paths and benches! Let's help turn it into a gem of Vallejo's hiking and biking trails.

We'll be trying to clean up as much as we can along the trail, so be ready for some walking! We'll have wheel barrows and bikes on hand to haul things.

Extra Bonus: we have NEW trash pickers generously donated by Ettore Products, a local Bay Area company that makes the best pickers in the business. Pick up trash in style!

Join us as we venture all the way to American Canyon for our next Saturday excursion! We'll be walking the beautiful bayside trails of Wetlands Edge Park. Bring your binoculars and excitement as we see if we can spot new birds, otters, coyotes, and even a shipwreck. It's an easy, flat hike full of beautiful scenery.

We’ll be walking about 4-5 miles. There are lots of trails available and everyone is welcome to do as much or as little as you would like.
